How To Register

Current Bethel Students:

Current Bethel students whose accounts are paid may register online.
(Check with the Business Office if you are unsure of your status–if there is a hold on your account, you will NOT be able to register without receiving permission from the Business Office. Phone: 651.638.6208.)

Online registration will begin on March 31, 2008. Make an appointment with your advisor ahead of time–he/she must clear you to register.
Registration is possible until May 23, 2008, but some classes may be cancelled prior to that date if there is not sufficient enrollment.

All Other Students:

Students not enrolled at Bethel for spring 2008 may be admitted for summer school as "summer specials." Admission as a summer special does not guarantee admission as a student during the regular academic year.

Registration forms must be received by May 23, 2008, but some classes may be cancelled if there is not sufficient enrollment.

Course Load, Credit, Grading, Tuition, and Fees

You may register for a maximum of one day class and one evening class or two evening classes. All courses are offered for credit but may be taken for non-credit (audit) if space is available. Grading is A-F, unless stated otherwise in the course description. Tuition is due by the first day of classes, after which a monthly finance charge of one percent will be assessed. Payments may be made by mail or in person. VISA and MasterCard accepted.

$435 Tuition per credit
$145 Tuition per credit/audit
(non-credit)

Changes in Registration and Scheduling

All changes in registration initiated by the student must be made prior to the third class session. Bethel reserves the right to withdraw, modify, or add to the list of courses or the course descriptions in this brochure. Classes that fail to meet minimum enrollment are subject to cancellation.
Students withdrawing will not receive a tuition refund if they fail to notify the Office of the Registrar or are suspended from the college. The $25 tuition deposit will be refunded to students who withdraw prior to the first day of classes, or if the class is closed or cancelled. The refund schedule for Summer 2008 will be:

  75% beginning June 4
  50% beginning June 6
  25% beginning June 10
  0% beginning June 12

Housing and Employment

Limited housing is available for Bethel students currently registered for Spring 2008. Housing applications will be available online beginning April 17. Applications can be found on the student MyHousing and Meal Plan page on BLink. Questions concerning on-campus housing for summer school should be directed to Jodie Buchholz, Housing Coordinator, in the Office of Student Life at 651.638.6300. Students seeking on-campus summer employment should visit http://www.bethel.edu/finaid/cas/jobs/students/job-listing or contact the Office of University Financial Aid at 651.638.6241.
