B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies
A biblical and theological studies major is for those who are passionate about understanding the Bible, theology, and what it means to be a Christian today. Students often pursue seminary or graduate studies in Bible, theology, or religion, to grow as critical thinkers and develop skills for a wide spectrum of career options.
B.A. in Missional Ministries
A missional ministries major is for those who desire to intentionally participate in the mission of God and to disciple others to do the same in an increasingly post-Christian and multi-ethnic world. It is a pre-professional degree for a variety of ministry vocations: Non-profit, Cross-Cultural, Youth or Children’s, Pastoral, Worship and Arts, etc.
The major naturally fits with Biblical and Theological Studies as a double major and with minors in Business, Leadership, Communication, Psychology, Cross-Cultural Missions, or Reconciliation Studies.
B.A. in Third World Studies
This degree, when combined with the B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies or Youth Ministry, is designed for students who are passionate about doing ministry in an international or cross-cultural setting.
Biblical and Theological Studies
Students earning a minor in biblical and theological studies gain a broad foundation in Bible and theology. It’s designed to support students in a variety of majors, providing skills to live as creative and critical Christian thinkers in today’s world. This minor is often combined with majors in youth ministry, communication studies, business, psychology, and many others.
Students earning a minor in biblical Greek gain a strong foundation for studying the New Testament, providing preparation for graduate and seminary studies in Bible and theology.
Biblical Languages (Hebrew and Greek)
Students earning a minor in the biblical languages of Hebrew and Greek gain a strong foundation for studying the Old and New Testament, providing preparation for graduate and seminary studies in Bible and theology.
The religious studies minor is a broadly based program designed to complement other academic studies by focusing on the growing religious diversity of our times.
