At the College of Arts & Sciences, we believe in the transformative power of firsthand experience. The Office of Off-Campus Programs/International Studies offers more than 30 destinations where students can engage with the world face-to-face, whether they travel halfway around the globe or stay right here in the Twin Cities community.
Imagine studying the apostle Paul's ministry while retracing his footsteps across Turkey and Greece. Visualize a semester in Guatemala, immersed in the language and serving through the local church. Or place yourself in the Galapagos Islands, the world's most famous evolutionary observatory.
These are just a few of the 30-plus semester, summer, and interim study abroad opportunities available to Bethel undergraduates. Most programs cost no more than Bethel tuition for a comparable term, and scholarships are available to support students enrolled in specific programs.
Here in our own nation, Bethel offers many opportunities to learn and grow, based on your interests. Study policymaking in Washington, D.C. Explore environmental science at the Au Sable Institute in Michigan. Even learn the competitive business of filmmaking in Los Angeles. Every program is designed to develop your unique influence as a Christ-follower.
In our own backyard—St. Paul—Bethel University partners with the Frogtown and Summit-University (FSU) neighborhoods. Through this decade-old Bethel FSU Partnership, Bethel students regularly engage in service-learning projects with local non-profit organizations and churches. Students also volunteer as youth literacy tutors and mentors in the area's under-resourced schools. These hands-on experiences are both spiritually and academically rewarding, particularly for students considering careers in education or urban ministry.
The Office of Off-Campus Programs/International Studies is excited to help connect you with life-changing experiences in St. Paul and around the world.
