Not sure if you should fill out a freshman application? Freshman application details apply to current high school students with or without earned college credit and high school graduates with no college credit.

Admissions Procedures

To consider your application for admission, Bethel University must receive the following:

  • Your completed and signed application form or completed online application
  • Your completed personal statement
  • Contact information for an academic reference and a spiritual reference
  • An official transcript and class ranking from your high school
  • Your SAT, ACT, or PSAT scores (Optional exam essays are recommended but not required.)
  • A signed commitment to A Covenant for Life Together

Admissions Standards for All Students

  • Graduation from an accredited secondary school or equivalent
  • Class Rank: Upper half of class
  • Test Scores: 21 composite on the ACT; 920 on the SAT; or 92 on the PSAT
  • Transfers: 2.50 cumulative college grade point average

Important Admissions Dates

Fall Term - Early Admission

September 1 - Application processing begins
November 1 - Early admission application due

  • All materials must be received by November 1.
  • Admission decisions sent by mid-December.

Fall Term - Regular Admission (after November 1)

  • Bethel will continue to admit students throughout the winter as space allows.
  • Admission notifications sent on an on going basis as files are completed.
  • The freshman class is often filled by spring.

Fall Term - Enrollment Deposit

  • $200 enrollment deposit is due for accepted students to save a spot at Bethel.
  • Students who have not paid the enrollment deposit may be moved to a wait list.

Spring Term - Admission

  • Rolling admissions beginning September 1: Applications reviewed as soon as complete.
  • Admission notification sent upon decision.
  • $200 enrollment deposit holds spot for spring term and initiates registration and housing.
