My favorite things about Bethel University:
I really enjoy that
Bethel creates a great environment for students to grow in their
faith and define their own faith. There are so many wonderful opportunities
to learn and serve, but none of them are mandatory. There are incredible
people in the Office of Campus Ministries as well as professors who
care about each student and their growth in and out of the classroom.
It’s a fun community and a wonderful place to work and study.
My
favorite places on Bethel’s campus:
Upper right-side balcony
during Chapel. Market Square. And I must mention that Edgren is the
best dorm on campus! (I might be a bit biased, though, from my years
as a student.)
My favorite Twin Cities/Minnesota sites:
I have favorite
coffee shops all over the metro. The shops and restaurants on Grand
Avenue in St. Paul and the Uptown area of Minneapolis. Displays at
nearby museums, including the Walker Art Center, Mill City Museum,
and the Weisman Art Museum. Our family cabin to enjoy snowmobiling
and snow-shoeing in the winter and boating in the summer.
Before working
at Bethel:
Between graduation and coming back to work in the Office
of Admissions, I was a youth pastor in a local church. I also worked
in a couple different youth ministry organizations. I love that I
still get to work with high school students and their families—and
tell them about the great experience Bethel has to offer!
