Application Deadlines and Information

Early Action Application Deadline—December 1

  • Application fee waived
  • All application materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by December 1
  • Notification of decision mailed to students by January 15
  • Pay $150 enrollment deposit to secure spot in classes and housing

Final Decision Application Deadline—March 1

  • All application materials must be received in the Office of Admissions by March 1
  • Notification of decision mailed to students by April 1

$150 Enrollment Deposit due—May 1

Students who have not paid the deposit may be put on the waitlist after
June 1.

Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Planning helps Bethel students finance their education. Multicultural students or students from the United States living out of the country will need to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and a Bethel Financial Aid Application. January of your senior year in high school is the time to complete these applications.

Outside Scholarships and Grants:

Here are a few places to find scholarship information or request scholarship applications:

  1. Bethel University Office of Financial Planning: Minnesota residents can apply for the Bethel Multicultural Grant.
    The grant is awarded to multicultural students who demonstrate need. You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Bethel University Financial Aid Application to determine your total financial gift aid.
    * The purpose is to help you cover the total cost of attending Bethel.
  2. Public library
  3. Counseling office or career center at your high school
  4. Fastweb.com
  5. Your parent's place of employment

Application consists of:

  1. Application
  2. Essay (all three questions need to be answered)
  3. School Official's Recommendation
  4. Pastor's Recommendation
  5. Transcripts need to be sent from high school (with rank and ACT score)

International students also must submit:

  1. Certificate of Finance Form with a copy of recent bank statement
  2. Foreign Student Financial Aid Application
  3. Copy of current visa if they are in the states at the time of application
  4. TOEFL score (computer-based 195; written 525)
  5. Writing sample if they don't have a TOEFL

Looking into Financial Aid
The Office of Financial Planning helps Bethel students finance their education. Apply for financial aid after January 2003.

Students of color or American students living out of the country will need to fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid and a Bethel financial aid application.
