The vision and goal of the Discipleship ministry is to help you grow in your relationship with God and others. Our Discipleship ministry provides opportunities for you to:

  • Determine what you personally believe and feel as you strive to make your faith and relationship with God your own.
  • Experience the power and presence of God in your daily life and in the lives of other believers.
  • Learn the significance and power of God's Word as you apply it to your daily life.
  • Be a part of a body of believers and friends who will listen, pray together, share their lives, hold each other accountable, and struggle as a group with different issues of the Christian faith.
  • Experience and be a part of the unity of the body of Christ through small group Bible studies.

Discipleship provides a variety of resources for spiritual development throughout your journey at Bethel. Grow in your relationship with God and others. Give yourself the foundation for a powerful ministry for Christ throughout your life.

Small Groups

Reaching In and Out Together (R.I.O.T.) provides worship, prayer, fellowship, mission/service, and Bible study for freshmen students. Students meet in their residence halls on Wednesday nights from 9:30-10:30 p.m. The R.I.O.T. groups will help freshmen grow in their relationship with God and others.

You can also get involved in various small groups which fit your needs and interests. There are groups for non-traditional, transfer, and commuter students, young marrieds, and athletes. You can be a part of an inductive or topical Bible study or join a fellowship group with a faculty or staff member. We encourage you to even to create your own group which may have a particular focus or interest. The Encouragement Team and Prayer Team are two more ways for you to get involved.
