Throughout the Gospels, we read about Jesus healing both the physically ill and the spiritually poor. Christ, the Great Physician, bore humanity's sufferings. As Christians, we are instructed to follow Christ's example, to be "doers of the Word and not hearers only" using our God-given abilities to reach out, to comfort, and to heal others is essential for growth and our Christian faith. The Office of Campus Ministries provides many opportunities for Bethel students to do just that.

Student Missions Project

The Student Missions Project exists to challenge Bethel students to live as world Christians and to encourage and support church leaders and missionaries around the world in their work for God's kingdom.

Twin Cities Outreach (TCO)

TCO Logo

TCO connects Bethel students with service organizations in the Twin Cities. Students volunteer a few hours a week at an inner-city youth program, help kids with homework after school, visit patients at a local hospital, help out at a homeless shelter, or spend time with seniors at a nursing home.

The Office of Campus Ministries connects student volunteers to special service programs, coordinates transportation, and acts as a support system for those who are serving.

Sankofa

What is Sankofa? Sankofa is "looking back to move forward." Sankofa is a Spring Break trip sent by Campus Ministries. It's a bus tour exploring real, authentic racial reconciliation. Pairs of diverse individuals will be asked to look back at the history of racism in the United States in order to move forward, better equipped for reconciliation. "Sankofa" teaches us that—like Christ's redemption—whatever we have lost, forgotten, or forgone can be reclaimed, revived, and preserved for the future.

World Challenge

World Challenge is a group that seeks to promote missions and biblical justice on the Bethel campus by creating an awareness of the needs of the world and by providing students with opportunities for involvement.
