The Solidarity Missions Project sends Bethel students to be with, learn from, and serve alongside in solidarity with God’s people and God’s work around the world.
Upcoming Dates:
• November 16 - Applications Due
• February 19-20 - Prep Retreat
• March 26 - Unpack It
The purpose of this "standing in solidarity" is to experience the love
of God in such a way that everyone involved would be changed—that
communities and students would be spiritually transformed more and more
into the likeness of Christ.
By participating in SMP engagements, students will
develop:
- A commitment to a missional life and participation in God’s global
mission. This includes a holistic understanding of how that participation
includes vocation, lifestyle choices, values, and priorities, and is
integral to discipleship. (Is. 45:22; Is. 61; Micah 4:1-5;
Matt. 28:19-20; John 3:16; Rev. 7:9-11)
- An appreciation and understanding of the beautiful diversity of God’s kingdom
and a deeper engagement with people--especially across lines of difference. This includes developing a sense of biblical justice, learning to understand and pursue
reconciliation, and engaging with others across differences. (Micah 6:8; Gen. 12:1-2; 2 Cor.
5:18-19; Rom. 12; Phil. 2:5)
