Campus Ministries

Curtis Hunt

1. Where did you grow up/go to school?
I grew up in small-town-u.s.a. (aka Monticello, MN), went to college and became a “city-boy.” I’m a weird mix of creative melancholy and intentional practicality. So, I pursued my undergrad work in Church Music from North Central University in Minneapolis, and completed my graduate work in Organizational Leadership from Mid-America Nazarene University in the burbs of Kansas City.

2. What is your current position at Bethel and for how long?
I’ve been working for Bethel since January 2009 as the Worship Pastor. My roles have me up in the mix with the creative planning for Chapel, Vespers, and the students who serve as team members and leaders for Bethel’s worship ministry.

3. What is your family like? (Spouses, kids, pets)
My gorgeous, amazing, patient, faithful, fun-loving wife and mother to our boys, Morlie (mo-ree-yay) and I have been married since 2001. Our boys are Ethan (2005), Nathaniel (2006), and Gabriel (2009). We have no pets, because our boys make enough mess around the house!

4. What is your favorite college memory?
My favorite college memory was the friendships; especially since I’m still connected to them today. But, a highlighted memory more specifically, was rehearsing with 7 other people 5 days a week, 2 hours a day for 9 months to make an original recording; then living in a van and touring with them for 6 months full-time.

5. When not at Bethel, what can you be found doing? (Interests, hobbies, etc.)
I am absolutely captured with my family, and spend all my time with them! I also love to host fun things at my house, which largely appeases my need/love to cook. And, aside from that, I run my own music business (http://studio16vocalcompany.com) that funnels my own artistry, teaching, and music ministry. So, overall… I’m just busy.
