Campus Ministries
Where did you grow up/go to school?
I grew up in the historic Rondo Neighborhood (Frogtown/Summit-U community) in Saint Paul. I went to school in the Twin Cities, graduated from Hamline University and Luther Theological Seminary.
What is your current position at Bethel and for how long?
I am the dean of campus ministries and campus pastor. This is my second year of what I expect to be a long tenure here at Bethel.
What is your family like? (Spouses, kids, pets)
My immediate family is made up of my wonderful husband Joshua and our two beautiful little girls, Naomi and Camile, and our cat, Jackson. In terms of behavior, we are a family that laughs a lot. We love to cook and eat dinner together in the dining room with fancy dishes, watch movies, and go on long drives to grandma and grandpa’s where we can pick apples, run in the woods, or play with cousins. We are also a family that prays together and would rather be together than anywhere else.
What is your favorite college memory?
Going to student conferences, spending time with great professors, living at home with my parents.
When not at Bethel, what can you be found doing? (Interests, hobbies, etc.)
Speaking at various venues, gardening, writing sermons, spending time with my family coloring, reading, playing, or watching movies. On Saturdays, you can find me at Costco, Rosedale, the bookstore, or at home.
