Campus Ministries
Where did you grow up/go to school?
I grew up in a small town in central Wisconsin (Mosinee) and did my undergrad work at the UW-Green Bay in business administration. I came straight to Bethel Seminary after college and just finished my Master of Divinity.
What is your current position at Bethel and for how long?
I am an intern with Campus Ministries, working with the athletic teams and working to connect with students who might feel marginalized, have questions about faith, or have a hard time connecting at Bethel. No topic is off-limits for discussion for me—I love open and honest dialog about any and everything under the sun. I am convinced that in that type of dialogue, increased understanding and real transformation can take place.
What is your family like? (Spouses, kids, pets)
I have an amazingly beautiful and loving wife, Amanda, and we have a little dog named Daisy.
What is your favorite college memory?
It would have to be anything related to growing in faith, since I didn’t become a follower of Christ until my freshman year of college. It is sweet to think back on both how God transformed me during that time period and all of the ongoing friendships that started then.
When not at Bethel, what can you be found doing? (Interests, hobbies, etc.)
When there isn’t snow on the ground, you’ll find me on the golf course (I worked at a course as an assistant pro for the past three seasons). You might also find me lifting weights or playing basketball. In addition, I work as a youth director for a church in South Minneapolis, have a blog, and Amanda and I love listening to live music.
