Nicaragua Mission Trip
Seek God by serving over Spring Break in a cross-cultural context which fits your major/vocational interest.
Date
March 9-17, 2013 (spring break)
Location
Home base for our Bethel team during Spring Break will be the Students International base in Nicaragua just outside Managua. Students will venture out from there to their ministry sites each day.
The Experience
Vocare. It’s Latin for “to call.” Bethel students on this team will learn about God’s particular call on their life from Nicaraguans and North Americans who are carrying out that call in a cross-cultural Kingdom context. A full list of sites is available online, but examples include art, medicine, dentistry, education, social work, and microfinance.
Our Ministry Partner
Facilitated by Students International. For more information go to www.stint.com.
Who Should Participate
This trip is reserved for students with junior or senior standing. More cross-cultural ministry experience and proficiency in the Spanish language are helpful and valued in the team selection process.
We will be intentionally matching Bethel students with available spaces on ministry sites based on vocational interest. The team does not spend all its ministry time in their vocational ministry site. We may also take part in other creative ministry programs as requested by our hosts, so we also look for students with a desire and ability to be energetic, spontaneous, and adaptable.
Trip Size
15 students
