Dr. DeGolier received her doctorate from the University of Minnesota in Animal Physiology. Her primary research interest is in smooth muscle physiology and pharmacoloy in vitro, examining brain-gut peptide regulation of smooth muscle tissue using various mammalian models. Recently her research has broadened to include the use of herbs in regulating gastrointestinal, uterine, vascular smooth muscle, and cardiac muscle tissues. Since Dr. DeGolier has been at Bethel University, she has been active in implementing various teaching pedagogies to improve upon student learning. Dr. DeGolier teaches BIO202 Human Physiology, GES328 Nutrition: The Total Diet, BIO113D Introduction to Organismic Biology, and BIO399 Introduction to Research. |
