What have graduates done
In the last 10 years ( 1998-2008) 92 biology graduates have enter medical school, 85 have entered other doctoral level post graduate health programs (dentistry, pharmacy, optometry, podiatry, etc.). This represents about 85% acceptance rate for graduates that apply to medical school or post graduate health programs. Twenty five have gone on in other graduate programs in biology, while 7 went to veterinary school. This represents 65% of our 320 graduates during that period. An additional 20 students completed their Life Science Secondary Education program and are teaching High School Biology, while another 30 are working in government (DNR, USDA, EPA, PCA) or corporate biology related careers (Medtronic, Boston Scientific, General Mills, Cargill, Northrup King, Monsanto, Mayo Clinic labs etc.). About 80% of our graduates have been placed in biology related careers or programs.
