Before the Interview

It is important to prepare yourself for your internship interview!

Research the organization.

Find out more about the employer by investigating their website, talking to people familiar with the company, and learning more about the products or services they offer.

Analyze the position description.

Carefully read through the internship posting and really anaylize the skills and qualifications they are looking for.  Think about how you could fulfill those requirements.

Think about and practice your answers to possible interview questions.

Make an effort to spend time developing your answers to common interview questions.  Practice your answers in front of a mirror or with a friend.

Print at least 3 extra resumes to take with you to the interview.

In the event there are multiply interviewers, it is a good idea to have extra resumes along to give to them.  Have them printed on high quality paper.

If you need directions, make sure you get them.

Make sure you know how to get to your interview to avoid being late.  Either ask for directions or use an online map tool (mapquest, google maps).
