NFA Website Privacy Policy

The following is the privacy policy of the NFA Website:

1. Collection of identifiable information: The website does not make use of cookies. Currently, forms are used in the submission of tournament information. Information tyically submitted from forms includes the following information:

  • Message ID of the message (from the Bethel server)
  • The IP address from which the submission request was generated.
  • The type of browser that was used (i.e., Mozilla/4.72 [en] (WinNT) means that the request came from someone using Netscape 4.72 on Windows NT)
  • The information specifically input into the form (i.e., name of requester and issues requested)

At this point, the NFA webmaster is not using any other means of collecting information about individual users to the website. Such a request would first be filtered through the Executive Council of the NFA, at whose pleasure the webmaster serves. Changes to this policy would be communicated on ie-l, and in written correspondence to all NFA members, as well as posted on this website.

2. Distribution of information: Currently, no information is redistributed. When additional forms are added to the website, information submitted through those forms would be expected to go to the Webmaster and appropriate officers of the NFA. For example, a membership form should be expected to be copied to the Secretary/Treasurer as well as the President and/or Tournament Director. If you do not agree with this policy, or have a question about how a particular form is used, please contact the webmaster.

3. Reasonable access to collected data: Should a person want a copy of the form or data she or he has submitted, please contact the webmaster.

4. Mailing lists: Currently, there is one mailing list not officially sanctioned by the NFA. IE-L is hosted by Cornell University.
