Hotel information from Dr. Minch:
This year, the NPDA has secured three official tournament hotels, at highly favorable rates: The Best Western Academy Inn, the Sleep Inn, and the Comfort Suites, all surround a set of two common parking lots and are close to both USAFA and abundant food and shopping opportunities. The managers of these hotels are working in concert to help ensure a smooth booking process.
These properties are the OFFICIAL NPDA hotels and, as has been the practice in previous years, teams attending the tournament are required to stay at these properties. However, because of the variety in rates and amenities of these properties, we hope members will find more flexibility than in past years. Our guarantee of a certain yield in hotel nights has given the NPDA substantial leverage in securing good rates, complimentary meeting space, rooms for imported judges, and a variety of other benefits that help the organization to contain growth in entry fees.
Your hotel options are:
- The Best Western Academy Inn (Main tournament hotel)
8110 N Academy Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80920-3904

* Note: These are suites capable of sleeping six that include two queens, and a pull-out couch that functions as a third queen. There are a limited number of these rooms available. The Comfort Suites and the Sleep Inn are connected properties.
While we are confident that there will be sufficient housing available in these properties to meet members' needs-including non-smoking rooms and plenty of high speed Internet access--we still encourage you to book ahead. The cutoff for all rooms is three weeks ahead of the tournament.
Additionally, as you become aware of rooms you no longer need, please return them to the block expeditiously. Should you encounter any difficulties in finding rooms at these hotels, please work with us, in concert with the hotel management, before attempting to relocate to other properties.
