2006-2007 TOURNAMENT CALENDAR FORM

The National Parlimentary Debate Association will publish a list of tournaments scheduled for the 2006-2007 season. Please complete a copy of this form for each tournament you plan to host. If you plan to host more than one tournament, please submit additional copies of the form.

Tournament directors are reminded that by submitting a tournament for sanctioning, that they have followed the following guidelines:

  • The tournament is hosted either by a member school, or a regional or national organization.
  • The tournament agrees to return results to Prof. Gantt in a timely fashion (within 21 days of the tournament's conclusion unless the tournament is held within 3 weeks of the national tournament. If the tournament takes place within 3 weeks of the national tournament, results are due 3 days after the completion of the tournament). The results should be in before the start of the National Tournament!
  • The tournament agrees to follow the "NPDA Guidelines of Debating and Judging," as outlined in Bylaw XII, unless any deviations are clearly noted in the tournament invitation. Such deviations would include alternative styles (i.e., World's Style), etc.
  • The tournament is open to all NPDA members unless hosted by such a national or regional organization whose rules mandate invitation of members only.

Tournaments, in order to be officially counted, must abide by the above, and must have a minimum of 3 member schools and 6 teams debating.
