Because of the limited opportunities for clinical experience in the Bethel University ATEP, a selection process is necessary to identify the most appropriate candidates for the available positions. A Selection Committee made up of the Certified Athletic Trainers will evaluate each candidate based on overall GPA, GPA in the prerequisite courses, personal interviews with the Selection Committee, written application materials and letters of recommendation. The number of students accepted into the ATEP Clinical Experience each year is dependent upon the constraints of clinical settings and the number of clinical supervisors available.
Application packets are available in the HPE Office by November 1. Each candidate must have all application materials, including personal reference forms on file in the Program Director's office by January 7.

After review, eligible candidates will be notified, and scheduled for an interview with the selection committee.
Application for admittance into the Athletic Training Education Program can begin during the fall semester of the student's sophomore year. Students are encouraged to supplement their education with an additional area of study to become more marketable.
