The BA Degree in Health Education prepares professionals to teach in the public or private school setting in grades 5 through 12 according to licensure standards determined by the Minnesota Board of Teaching and by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. The program includes a strong practical element working in the schools with students.
Students normally apply to the Education Department during Introduction to Education (EDU200) during the sophomore year. Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 and earn at least a C- in all courses in the major.
