Modern World Languages

Programs and Courses

The Department of Modern World Languages offers majors in French, Spanish, and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). We also have a program leading to Minnesota licensure to teach French K-12 and Spanish K-12 (licensure in world languages and cultures), as well as to teach English as a Second Language K-12 (TESL). Our department offers minors in French, German, Spanish TESOL, and Modern World Languages. Other languages taught at Bethel are American Sign Language, Mandarin Chinese and Swedish.
