Entering Repayment
Once you graduate, drop below half-time, or otherwise leave Bethel, you’ll need to prepare for repaying your student loans.

Complete exit counseling.
If you’ve received federal loans or the TEACH grants, you’ll need to complete exit counseling to go over your rights and responsibilities.
- Subsidized and Unsubsidized exit counseling can be completed on the StudentLoans.gov website.
- Perkins exit counseling can be completed through ECSI (Educational Computer Systems, Inc.). If you have questions about your Perkins loan, repayment or exit counseling, contact Jane Thielen in the Business Office at j-thielen@bethel.edu or 651.635.1003.
- TEACH Grant exit counseling can be completed through the U.S. Department of Education on the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS).
