Performance Scholarships
Performance Scholarships are available by audition to incoming freshman and transfer students participating in music, theatre, art, or communication studies (forensics).
Art
Amount: Up to $1,000 per year
Renewal: Renewable
Eligibility: Incoming freshman and returning art majors who display maturity in their work, high potential for success within the major, and potential for department leadership.
Academic requirements: Students must be full-time, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50, and meet specific requirements of the Department of Art.
Deadline: February 1

Forensics
Amount: Up to $4,000 per year
Renewal: Renewable
Eligibility: Incoming freshmen and transfer students interested in being on the Forensics team. Students don't have to be a communication major to apply.
Academic requirements: Students must be full-time, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50, and meet specific requirements of the Department of Communication Studies.
Deadline: February 1
How to apply: Separate application required. Fill out the Forensics Scholarship application provided by the Department of Communication Studies.
Music
Amount: Up to$4,000 per year
Renewal: Renewable
Eligibility: Incoming freshman and transfer students. These awards are not need-based and are open to all students regardless of major; however, they do require participation in a Bethel performance organization.
Academic requirements: Students must be full-time, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50, and meet specific requirements of the Department of Music.
Deadline: January 15
How to apply: Separate application required. Send in audition materials and fill out and application through the Music Department.
Theatre Arts
Amount: Up to $2,000 per year
Renewal: Renewable
Eligibility: Incoming freshman and transfer students who demonstrate potential in performing, design, and technology.
Academic requirements: Students must be full-time, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50, and meet specific requirements of the Department of Theatre Art.
Deadline: February 1
How to apply: Separate application required. Set up an audition, send in required materials, and apply through the Theatre Department.
