Holy Crosses!

This was the coolest place that we got the chance of going to. This was a place in Northern Lithuania that people just kept bringing crosses to. The reason that they did this was because it represented hope and peace for the Lithuanians and it also was a place that the KGB tried to destroy during the soviet occupation. In fact it was destroyed three times but then people just kept putting it back up. The other neat thing was the fact that Pope John Paul II blessed this place in 1993. This place was very emotional to a lot of the study abroad students because of the magnificence and the significance of the crosses. It was especially cool since this was in the winter.
