The Day we visited Majdanek was very dreary and rainy. It was the type of weather that chilled you to the bone. This picture was taken in the corridor right outside the gas chambers where Zycolne B was used to kill an estimated 3,000 people. The window looks down the road that is lined by some of the compounds where the victims slept. The weather was fitting because it set an eerie mood where we could feel a sense of desperation that the victims were going through. And, the rain of the window seemed to depict it even more.
