College of Arts & Sciences
Our services exist to provide the student community with health care and information addressing their health needs and concerns. Our goal is to help students restore health when needed and prevent illness whenever possible in order to minimize health problems that could interfere with students’ academic goals. The staff is committed to helping students make informed health care decisions, working to achieve physical well-being while developing good health practices for a lifetime.
A variety of medical services including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment are available at our office on campus. Consultation with a physician, nurse practioner, or nurse is available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. Nurses are on site Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Students may visit a physician who is on campus once a week at designated hours. The nurse practitioner is on campus 2 and one-half days per week. A nurse is on call evenings, nights, and weekends.
Currently registered students are eligible to use any of our services. We are available for employee’s first aid needs or blood pressure monitoring during office hours.
The Health Services office is located on the ground level of Townhouse H, adjacent to Counseling Services.
In the event of a serious injury or other clear threat to life:
Undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Arts
& Sciences are required to demonstrate they have health insurance
with a minimum of $50,000 coverage for each accident or sickness.
This insurance can be through a family plan, an individual plan, or the accident and sickness plan Bethel provides through Student Assurance Services (SAS). If you're covered by a family or individual heath insurance plan, you must complete an online waiver to opt out of the plan Bethel is making available. Learn more about Bethel's health insurance policy and completing your online waiver.
Confidentiality is a top priority with our staff as it is in any medical office (subject to legal restrictions). We are in compliance with federal and state laws relating to privacy practices.
