Building Better Relationships
We invite you to be intentional about "building better
relationships" in all areas of your life. We're here to help. Check
out some of the ways that you can equip yourself for successful relationships:
- Life-on-Life Mentoring - a one-on-one
connection with an older student or a faculty/staff member for encouragement,
support, and meaningful dialogue.
- Racial Reconciliation Lunch Groups -
groups that foster safe and trusting relationships among students,
faculty, and staff and reflect racial reconciliation. The goal is
to understand and educate one another regarding our own racial, ethnic,
and cultural backgrounds.
- Relationship Chapel Series -
a special three-day series on relationships. Other chapel services
throughout the year will also deal with relationship issues.
- Relationship Coaching/Consulting and Testing -
the opportunity to talk to someone privately about the health of
your relationships and/or take a relationship inventory that can
help you learn more about yourself.
- Small Groups for Dating and Engaged Couples -
the opportunity to explore the dynamics of healthy relationships
with a small group that meets once a week for five or six weeks;
offered each semester.
- Pre-marital Preparation Options -
a wide variety of programs aimed at helping students prepare well
for making a marriage commitment.
- Marriage Retreats - weekend enrichment
experiences offered once a year for married student couples.
- Married Student Fellowship -
an opportunity for married students to connect with other married
students through activities and small group opportunities.
- There are also many other opportunities to learn
about healthy relationships at Bethel through classes, small groups,
dorm life, local ministry outreach, spring or summer missions trips,
study abroad programs, etc.
