Residence Life

Welcome to Residence Life at Bethel University!

We are excited to welcome you to the Bethel community. Bethel University is committed to offering you an excellent and rigorous education. This education occurs in the classroom, but it does not stop there. We strive to have every part of your Bethel experience include education, learning, challenge, and support. This includes the community in which you live.

Who we are:

Residence Life exists at Bethel to develop students for life in Christ through cultivating a residential environment that provides a space for transformation through deepening relationship with God and participation in communal interdependence.

What does that mean?

Space for transformation – In authentic community, personal development can occur for the purpose of fostering healthy relationships with others, oneself, and the Lord. As students experience self-discovery, academic learning, and cultural and spiritual insights, God can use the residential communities as a space for real growth, healing, and transformation!

Deepening relationship with God - We want to be a community where everything is an expression of our worship. That means, we (the resident assistants (RAs), resident directors (RDs), housing coordinator, and deans) are committed to offering a fun, caring, challenging, supportive, and Christ-centered living experience so that we can continue to learn how to integrate our faith in all of life.

Communal interdependence – Alone, we are not enough. But together, in community, when we rely on one another, and strive for the best interest of others, we are more whole ourselves. This is why we believe in community. We actually NEED one another to be whole persons. We believe God works through community for individual transformation, spiritual growth, and relationship development.

Again, welcome to Bethel University Residence Life!
