College of Arts & Sciences
Let us move you in!
In order to get your belongings from your car to your dorm room most efficiently, we ask that you please come during your assigned time (see schedule below).
While we are doing the heavy lifting, you'll be able to meet your other floor mates as you are all arriving together! This is a great opportunity to get to know who you will be living with for the next nine months. You should receive your housing assignment by mid to late July.
Three easy steps to figuring out when you should move in:
Note: Anyone arriving early for sports or other reasons will be notified during the summer.
Students who will be living in Fountain Terrace or Heritage Hall should register here with an estimate of what time you will be arriving.
If you will be arriving via plane or from a train or bus depot and would like a ride to Bethel, please submit a transportation request form.

Step 1: In order for this process to go smoothly, you must enter through the west gate off of Old Snelling Avenue DURING YOUR ASSIGNED TIME. Arriving early or late complicates the process for everyone.
Step 2: Prepare yourself for a warm Bethel greeting. You will be welcomed by the alumni and parent services team, administrators, and Welcome Week workers. Warning: Energy and enthusiasm are guaranteed to go hand-in-hand with any Bethel greeting!
Step 3: Pull up to your assigned residence area and watch the Welcome Week staff unload your car in a fraction of the time it took you to fill it.
Step 4: One person must stay with your car while the student (and others) enter the residence area. The driver should arrange a meeting place with the student and park the car as soon as it is unloaded. It is important that a driver stay with the car until it is unloaded. Once unloaded, traffic attendants will direct you to the best available parking lot.
Step 5: While the car is being unloaded, the student should enter the residence area where he/she will meet the residence director and resident assistant, and get checked into his/her room.
Step 6: At this point, students will receive a name tag. The number on the name tag will corresond with your Core Group for the weekend. Please wear your name tag throughout Welcome Week.
Step 7: Get moved in. Meet new friends and enjoy your new home. Parents can head to the RC Lounge where they can pick up a Welcome Week packet and name tag from the Parent Information Booth.
Step 8: Between 5 and 7 p.m. on Thursday, a picnic dinner will be served in Kresge Courtyard for the entire family. Dress is casual.
Step 9: At 7 p.m. on Thursday, everyone meets in Benson Great Hall for the Welcome Week Kickoff event. The first hour will be spent together. During the second hour, students will break into Core Groups while parents attend a reception.
Step 10: Settle in for an unforgettable experience at Bethel University!
