Transfers, Commuters, and PSEO Students

Consider this your official invitation! Welcome Week (WW) is an opportunity for transfer, commuter, and PSEO students alike to get acquainted, meet faculty, learn the surroundings, and start a smooth transition to Bethel. Numerous events are planned just for you during Welcome Week '07! Use the links at the left to see what's going on.

TRANSFERS

Many of you have been through some type of orientation already at another school. While you may already be acquainted with the basics of life in college, by attending the Bethel WW transfer events, you will be far more connected and better prepared to start at Bethel. If you also will be commuting, feel free to take advantage of the commuter activities as well!

COMMUTERS

Although you are not moving onto campus, we want you to feel at home here as much as the students who are moving onto campus. Because of that, we have planned activities to get you plugged in as quickly as possible.

COMMUTER LOUNGE

During WW there may be some downtime between activities. Rather than have you drive home and come back in the evening, we've created a space for you to hang out and meet other commuters and transfers. The Commuter Lounge (where transfers are also welcome) is a place where you can go between events when other students may be in their on-campus housing. In the Commuter Lounge you'll find things like snacks, cards, board games, big-screen TV for movies and video games, coffee with good creamers, hot chocolate, music, computers for checking email, and more!

COMMUTERS-CLARIFIED

If you are a PSEO or first-year student who is also commuting, you will be placed in a Core Group with other first-year students. If that's the case, we encourage you to attend as many Core Group activities as possible. You are still more than welcome to hang out in the commuter lounge, however! You will find out which Core Group you are in at the Kickoff the first night (or stop by our info booth on the 3rd floor of the CC building).

PSEO STUDENTS

If you are living on campus or off, will be staying at Bethel for one year or more, we want you to feel as much a part of the community while you're here as possible! We will strive to place you in a Core Group and get you connected with other PSEO students.

PSEO ORIENTATION

On Thursday, August 30, from 3-5 p.m. there is a special PSEO orientation program in the Eastlund Room. Come hear from other former PSEO students and meet current PSEO students as you all begin this time at Bethel together.
