As your student makes plans to join us for Welcome Week, please be aware that there are a number of other events occurring in the Twin Cities at the same time that may affect your travel plans. Most notably, the Republican National Committee has already blocked more than 16,000 hotel rooms in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area to host many of the 45,000 convention delegates, members of the media and other guests.

We have secured a very limited block of rooms for parents at nearby hotels. If you’ll need overnight accommodations while dropping your student off, we encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible.
