Leadership & Service
A solid set of leadership skills is a must for making a positive impact in the lives of those around you—no matter your personality or profession.
Identify Your Leadership Strengths
We start at the beginning: self-awareness. Through Leadership Identification, Integration, Influence, you can answer these questions and more:
- What are your unique strengths and how can you capitalize on those as you work with others?
- What are your growth areas?
- How can you produce positive change both in your personal life but also in a classroom, church, business meeting, operating room?
Develop as a Leader
After learning more about yourself as a leader, you can jump in and put your leadership into action.
- Fall Leadership Summit
- Foundational Leadership Program
- Leadership Honor Society (Omicron Delta Kappa)
- Vision Trekk
These experiences are perfect examples to use when future employers, and perhaps even graduate schools, ask to hear more about your capabilities.
Find Opportunities to Lead
Check out the Opportunity Fair held during Welcome Week each fall—clubs, campus ministry programs, and organizations will let you know how you can plug in. Pick one you’re passionate about and lead!
Or stop by Student Life and tell us what you’re interested in and what your skills are—we can offer suggestions.
Engage in Service
Part of leading well is serving others well, which is why we provide lots of opportunities for you to serve and care for others through Campus Ministries:
