Student Meal Plans

Bethel University offers a variety of meal plans to meet the needs of all students.
Meal plans are divided into three semesters to match the academic and housing calendars.

  • Fall
  • Interim
  • Spring

Students who have Bethel housing, with the exception of Fountain Terrace and North Village, with be auto-assigned a meal plan: Freshman -15-Meal Plan; Upperclass - 6-Meal Plan. If you wish to change your auto-assignment, go to BLink (http://blink.bethel.edu), Campus Services tab, My Housing, and Meals, Dining. This change must take place after July 1 and before August 25.

Freshmen who have completed less than 30 credits and are living in Bethel housing must select either the 20-Meal Plan OR the 15-Meal Plan for the year.

  • 20-Meal Plan: All meals in the Dining Center plus Flex for each food term.
  • 15‑Meal Plan: 15 meals per week in the Dining Center plus Flex for each food term.
  • 10-Meal Plan: 10 meals per week in the Dining Center plus Flex for each food term.
  • 6-Meal Plan: 6 meals per week in the Dining Center plus Flex for each food term.
  • Block Meal Plan: Allotted number of meals in the Dining Center plus Flex.
  • On-Campus Flex (residence halls and townhouses): All Flex.
  • Apartment/Off-Campus Flex (North Village, Fountain Terrace, or non-Bethel housing): All Flex.

Please note:

  • Flex cannot be purchased without a meal plan.

  • Students living in North Village, Fountain Terrace, or non-Bethel housing may opt for no meal plan.

  • First-time freshmen living in North Village or Fountain Terrace are required to have either the 20- or 15-Meal Plan for the entire year, or until they accumulate 30 credits.

  • Flex is a declining balance/food service account you draw against using your magnetized ID card.

  • Market Square is the coffee shop, and the Dining Center is the cafeteria.

  • Our meal week begins with breakfast on Friday and runs through dinner on Thursday. You can obtain your meal and Flex dollars balances at any cash register in Dining Services or stop by the dining services office. Every Friday morning your count starts over. Meals do not carry from week to week unless on the Block Meal Plan.
  • The Block Meal Plan count runs through the semester, not the week. It is the only plan that allows you to take a guest with you and count it as one of your meals. Unused meals are lost at the end of each semester.
